Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to services and purchases made at DMT BarberShop & BeautySpot and through DMTBarber.com. By booking an appointment or making a purchase, you agree to the terms below.

We aim to provide professional service, fair treatment, and transparency for every guest.

No Refunds on Services Once Started or Completed

Because our services are provided through professional time, skill, and labor, we do not offer refunds once a service has begun or has been completed.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • haircuts

  • braids, twists, protective styles

  • color, highlights, relaxers, silk press

  • beard grooming

  • beauty and styling services

  • extensions, lace front and wig installs

  • specialty and design work

Once the service has started, costs have already been incurred (time, products, staffing, and chair availability). For that reason:

No refunds will be issued after service begins or after service is rendered.

Service Satisfaction Policy

If you are unhappy with your service, notify us before leaving the shop, or contact us within 48 hours.

Where reasonable and at our discretion, we may offer:

  • adjustments

  • corrections

  • a complimentary touch-up

We do not guarantee specific results due to differences in hair type, hair condition, previous chemical services, and maintenance routines.

Adjustments do not include:

  • changing the style entirely

  • new services

  • services performed by another business afterward

Deposits, Cancellations, and No-Shows

Some appointments may require a deposit.

Deposits:

  • are non-refundable

  • may be credited toward rescheduled appointments if adequate notice is provided

Late arrivals, cancellations made outside our policy window, and no-shows may result in forfeited deposits or cancellation fees.

Details may vary by service and will be communicated at booking.

Products, Gift Cards, and Tools

For hygiene and safety reasons:

  • Opened hair or beauty products are non-returnable and non-refundable

  • Gift cards are final sale, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable

  • Tools, accessories, and unopened products may be eligible for exchange only if defective and returned within 7 days, with receipt

Online Purchases and Third-Party Services

If purchases or bookings are made through third-party platforms:

  • refunds and disputes may be subject to that provider’s policies

  • we are not responsible for their fees or refund timelines

Fraud, Chargebacks, and Abuse

Unauthorized payment disputes or chargebacks filed after services were provided may be challenged with proof of services rendered, time logs, appointment records, and security documentation where applicable.

We reserve the right to refuse service to individuals who abuse refund or payment systems.

Compliance With New York Law

We operate in accordance with applicable New York consumer and business regulations.

Nothing in this policy is intended to remove rights granted by law, and we may modify this policy if required by updated legislation or regulations.
